Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. designed and fabricated (2) two 4’-0” Diameter x 30’-0” high air stripping towers to treat 420gpm of VOC contaminated water at the Cummins Engine Company factory in Columbus, IN. Each air stripper shell was fabricated from FRP and was supplied with a centrifugal blower that was designed to produce 2,550cfm at 2.75” w.c. The blowers were rated at 5.0hp, and were supplied with an air intake screen. All of the tower internals were factory installed by Delta to expedite the installation process. Delta also designed and fabricated the OSHA ladder assemblies to facilitate the periodic inspection of the tower internals and packing media.
Site Location: Wartrace, Tennessee
Process Design: 70 gpm, 99%+ Removal of Multiple VOC's
Equipment: (1) Model ΔS9-190F Air Stripping Tower
Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. designed and fabricated (1) one 9’-0” Diameter x 29’-0” high air stripping tower to treat 70gpm of Ammonia contaminated water at the Coey Tanning Company factory in Wartrace, TN. The air stripper shell was fabricated from FRP and was supplied with a centrifugal blower was designed to produce 1,875cfm at 2.5” w.c. The blower was rated at 25.0hp, and was supplied with an air filter assembly and intake louver. All of the tower internals were factory installed by Delta to expedite the installation process. Delta also designed and fabricated the OSHA ladder assembly to facilitate the periodic inspection of the tower internals and packing media.
Site Location: Teterboro, New Jersey
Process Design: 25 gpm, 95% Ammonia Removal (Raw Water), 99% Ammonia Removal (Off- Gas)
Equipment: (1) Model ΔS6-180F Air Stripping Tower, (1) Model ΔS8-090S Packed column Scrubber
Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. was contracted by Miles, Inc. to design, fabricate, and deliver an ammonia removal system with off-gas scrubbing to treat a 25gpm process waste water stream containing ammonia. The air stripper and scrubber shells were fabricated from FRP and supplied complete with the interconnecting ductwork. The system was supplied with a centrifugal blower was designed to produce 18,000cfm at 4.75”w.c. All of the required auxiliary equipment including transfer pumps, storage tanks, mixers, ph controllers, control panel, and chemical cleaning system were also factory assembled, tested, and delivered by Delta.
