Packed Column Air Stripping - Ammonia Removal

Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. designed and fabricated (2) two white 4’-0” Diameter x 30’-0” high air stripping towers to treat 420gpm of VOC contaminated water at the Cummins Engine Company factory in Columbus, IN. The two towers are close to each other and both have ladders on the sides with a blue device next to one. There are two guys standing next to them, one with a red shirt and one with a yellow. The towers are installed next to a couple of buildings and the ground is dirt with some boxes still on the ground from installation.

Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. designed and fabricated (2) two 4’-0” Diameter x 30’-0” high air stripping towers to treat 420gpm of VOC contaminated water at the Cummins Engine Company factory in Columbus, IN.  Each air stripper shell was fabricated from FRP and was supplied with a centrifugal blower that was designed to produce 2,550cfm at 2.75” w.c.  The blowers were rated at 5.0hp, and were supplied with an air intake screen.  All of the tower internals were factory installed by Delta to expedite the installation process.  Delta also designed and fabricated the OSHA ladder assemblies to facilitate the periodic inspection of the tower internals and packing media.

 Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. designed and fabricated (1) one beige 9’-0” Diameter x 29’-0” high air stripping tower to treat 70gpm of Ammonia contaminated water at the Coey Tanning Company factory in Wartrace, TN. The tower has a ladder on its side and is next to a building. There is dirt around the tower with a blue, cloudy sky behind it.

Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. designed and fabricated (1) one 9’-0” Diameter x 29’-0” high air stripping tower to treat 70gpm of Ammonia contaminated water at the Coey Tanning Company factory in Wartrace, TN.  The air stripper shell was fabricated from FRP and was supplied with a centrifugal blower was designed to produce 1,875cfm at 2.5” w.c.  The blower was rated at 25.0hp, and was supplied with an air filter assembly and intake louver.  All of the tower internals were factory installed by Delta to expedite the installation process.  Delta also designed and fabricated the OSHA ladder assembly to facilitate the periodic inspection of the tower internals and packing media.

Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. installed an ammonia removal system with off-gas scrubbing to treat a 25gpm process waste water stream containing ammonia. The tower is white and u-shaped into the ground.  There are a couple a workers cleaning up the area around the tower.

Delta Cooling Towers, Inc. was contracted by Miles, Inc. to design, fabricate, and deliver an ammonia removal system with off-gas scrubbing to treat a 25gpm process waste water stream containing ammonia.  The air stripper and scrubber shells were fabricated from FRP and supplied complete with the interconnecting ductwork.  The system was supplied with a centrifugal blower was designed to produce 18,000cfm at 4.75”w.c.  All of the required auxiliary equipment including transfer pumps, storage tanks, mixers, ph controllers, control panel, and chemical cleaning system were also factory assembled, tested, and delivered by Delta.
